Chugga Chugga Choo Choo

Corson turns two in two weeks.  One of my favorite things is designing birthday invites and Christmas cards.  Last year Corson had a Hungry Caterpillar birthday party.  I'm not planning anything that big this year, I'm sticking with a train theme.  And I had lots of fun designing his invite today!

Kindergarten, here he comes! Be Kind Please!!!

Colby starts kindergarten tomorrow.  I lost it last night.  I thought I would be okay.  But I guess I am more nervous than he is.  He isn't so sure about all this.  Some days he's excited and others, not so much.  On our way to meet the teacher I asked if he was nervous.  He told me no.  I told him that I was nervous.  He then told me his tummy kind of hurt and asked if that meant he was nervous too.  Oh Colby.  How I wish I could be there with him and make sure all the kids are nice to him and that he doesn't do anything too silly. But I guess this is where I'm supposed to start letting go, little by little and let him experience life without me.  How is this happening already?

We filled out this questionnaire tonight.  My goal is to fill it out at the end of the school year again, and then each year to see how he grows.  Hopefully we can remember!

One of a kind pencil box

One thing Colby needs to bring to school is a pencil box.  We found a nice cheap yellow when we went school shopping.  I wanted to make it special for him, so we got out my silhouette cutter and personalized it.  I think it turned out pretty cute handsome!

County Fair and Demo Derby

Last week was fair week in town!  We haven't taken the kids in a few years and so it was time.  Of course we picked the hottest day of the week.  The kids were troopers and loved all the animals.  Brielle wasn't too sure of all the smells.  Corson wanted to touch every animal and he frequently jumped out of the stroller and was off petting goats or bunnies before I even realized he was gone!

We didn't do ride passes this year, but we did let the kids pick one ride.  We were lucky enough to run into Brielle's friend Kenzie and so they chose to do a ride with her!

Colby was obsessed with the cows.  He wanted to walk through the cow barn time after time.  And then we discovered the parlor.  We watched the cows getting milked for almost a half hour.  He would have stayed longer, but the cows were done!

And finally it was time for the main event, the Demo Derby!!  The kids were so excited, we sent Corson home with Mimi so no one would get scared.  Unfortunately about 15 minutes into the event, Brielle was done.  So Mimi came to get her too!  But Colby loved it... Until a truck rolled over.  We assured him everyone was safe and life was good again!

Snuggles

As a mama of two boys I know that my snuggles are limited.  Saturday was a day full of snuggles.  Colby wasn't feeling well, and so snuggles were in abundance.  I'll take them when I can get them!  Love my sweet boys!

Summer Bucket List

We had a summer bucket list that we made at the beginning of summer.  Now that we're into the last week of summer, I've realized we haven't done so well.  I guess I am used to summer lasting through September, but now that I have a kindergartener (GASP), summer is over!

One thing on our bucket list was to walk to the river.  The kids love to throw rocks into the water.  It looks like Corson might be a lefty!

Since we didn't do so good with our summer bucket list, I thought we would should have a fall bucket list.  I found this adorable one:

I'm not quite ready for Fall Decor in my house, but when I am, I'll be sure to use this!  Hopefully we'll do better with this bucket list than we did with our summer one!

Osoyoos - My little slice of Paradise!

Every year we vacation on Lake Osoyoos.  This year we stayed in a house in Oroville with family we haven't vacationed with before.  While we were sad to break tradition, we were excited for the memories our kids would make.  It turned out to be a great year!  And best of all, I got to do lots of surfing!

Our View for the week!

Colby and Carter picked up right where they left off and had a great time playing together!

There were some beautiful sunsets!

Being Goofy!
We picked the hottest night to go to Rattlesnake Canyon.  Corson and daddy loved their ice cream!
C
Colby picked to jump on the bungee tree and Brielle and Corson were happy to ride the donkey.
We are all smiling!  (I may have bribed with chocolate covered blueberries!)

Finally my turn to surf!

More details on where we stayed and more surf pictures to come!

Welcome!

I've been wanting to be a blogger for awhile now, but I didn't think that anything I had to say would be interesting enough. But then I decided it doesn't matter how many followers I do or don't have, I would just share what's happening in my life. So you will find a little bit of everything here, tips, tricks, recipes, DIY projects, and my everyday life!

As I was trying to name this blog I couldn't really think of anything I was super passionate about, except for surfing and sugar, two things I need! Sugar I get plenty of, but surfing not as much!  Between working three days a week and playing with my three kiddos the rest of the time, I don't get much surfing in.

So welcome to my corner of the blog world hope you visit often!  And in honor of my favorite water activity, here I am surfing 3 days before my third child was born!
